Communications : Halton Food For Thought

Ben asks for donations in lieu of Birthday gifts! As executive director of Halton Food for Thought, I am involved in some amazing things but on January 6, 2012 I had the privilege to meet an incredible 8 year old from Martin Street Public School. He chose to have his buddies bring donations for HFFT instead of receiving birthday gifts at his 8th birthday celebration. Now that is an incredible act of kindness. I am so touched by his generosity I am lost for words. He and his buddies raised $400 which will feed approx. 421 students a healthy breakfast. Way to go Ben!
	On Monday January 9, 2012 we met with Edward Logie, Manager Marketing and Communications at St. Gabriel Catholic School to receive an incredible $1,000 donation for our programs. We are thrilled to welcome First Ontario Credit Union to our family of donors and look forward to organizing a volunteer day with their employees. Many of our programs would like to expand but need volunteers to make this happen. If you are interested in an experience you will never forget please call us!
